The Squid is a very popular bait for many fish all over the world, most predators love squid, so it is no wonder that saltwater fly angler have them in there boxes, when target such fish as bass and pollack, or stripers (especially in May), bluefish and tuna.

The squid can be used from the shore, inshore, when fish are actively chasing squid in the rips etc, or offshore, during daylight, but very effective at night as a searching pattern. The stripping action should be very fast, with short sharp strips occasionally pausing.
